welcome to my fun little website dedicated to the monument mythos… here you’ll see the ramblings of a madman who loves to analyze niche horror series way too much. this webpage is a wip if you couldnt tell and also probably looks better on desktop than mobile

who are you?!

my name is mims…! you may or may not have seen me around the world wide web drawing images and fanart of the sorts. i'm 19 and live in canada... not too far from the strange country down there. i got into this series right after i turned 17 in 2021 while i was going through a rough time (11th-12th grade online school... yeesh) and my brain became immediately encapsulated by it. i've made many awesome friends because of monmyth and now i'm here! with many many thoughts about this series!

what is the monument mythos?!

trying to explain the plot of the monument mythos in a few sentences is like trying to explain the plot of breaking bad in a few sentences. there is SO much going on all the time everywhere and it’s difficult to pin down exactly who, what, where, when, why, and how everything happens... but this has never been a turnoff for me. as you’ll come to see, i think an insane all-over-the-place plot is fitting for a story about american politics! needless to say, i’ll give a rundown in my words:

the monument mythos is an episodic-based webseries documenting the lives of american citizens in an alternate universe. in this universe, there are small discrepancies compared to our own. john d. rockefeller, the oil tycoon infamous for being the wealthiest man in america is president. james dean, the actor from the 50s who tragically died young is alive and well (and also president..?). apple is instead a corn-based tech company named maize. also national monuments are haunted a giant crab was underneath the evergiven and george washington was mutated into a giant snake by trees and telepathically communicates with the designer of the statue of liberty

i'm sure with a hook like that you're interested! or not! if you are, feel free to scavenge around this webpage for more information... including character analyses, themes and symbolism, and my thoughts and opinions on this series as an outsider. enjoy! :]
